16v conversion but slightly different rare engine

i have just brought a corrado which turns out to have gti engineering engine it the conversion its had done is the 16v re2000 which costs wait for nearly 3000!The conversion comprises of:
Tuftrided EN 24 crankshaft of 94.5 mm stroke
Specially machined cylinder block with 82mm bore
Lead indium heavy duty crankshaft bearings
Alloys pistons with valve clearance cut-outs
Gasflowed cylinder head
Gasflowed inlet and exhaust manifold
Reprofiled inlet and exhaust valve seats
Selected valve springs
Modified camshaft timing
Modified distributor
Modified injection system
Price £2795 (1988)
now i am thinking of fitting this into my sportline but what bothers me is it says modified injection system this is where i start getting lost as do you normally, just use the standard k jet system been reading for a hours tonight as fell out with missus,so staying out the way!!whats involved fitting 16v engines to gti's just seems a shame to just sell this on as would kind finish off my car was tempted to put on twin 45's or bike carbs ,how much wiring is there fitting 16v, the rest i am guessing is pretty straight forward in terms of fitting the engine thanks

All that and ruin it with carbs? If it runs run the injection, mod the wur there's plenty to do and injection is no harder to wire as carbs. It's basically the ignition from mk2 you have to use wiring wise. Rest is gti stuff.
