Your old cups on the mk4 gearbox have an allen key in the middle, you simply unscrew this and swap the cups for the ones above. Then the shafts you picture will marry up to the box perfectly. Hope that helps mate.

If you have a good breakers near you, you should be able to find them. I did and mine only cost me £20. But for convenience at least they are easier to buy on eBay, you can buy them from VW for about £110 new. If you really can't find them anywhere. Not sure what the part number is though.
