1.8t conversion

Im have been trying to decide on weather to do a g60 or 1.8t conversion on my mk1 gti. I have a friend who told me to wait for him to build a 16v G60 but I dont think hes going to do it for a while.

Ive decided to go for a 1.8t as its easier and easier to get more bhp from.

Just wondered if anyone knew of a thread or had any detailed step by step instruction on doing it. I did not want to go for an AGU engine as I wanted more than 150bhp standard. Which other engines could I use. If I bought the engine and gearbox would I be able to use the whole setup?

Any advise would be good.

Alright mate, I believe if you are going down the 1.8t route and money is not an issue, the engine code you want is bam, you'll find it in Audi s3's, and comes with 225 bhp standard if my memory serves me correct.
