1.8 to 1.3 HELP

Hi guys, got my hands on a mk1 gti cabrio minus the engine and box.

It did have a 1.8 engine in it and i want to drop a 1.1 or 1.3 in has anyone advise on how to go about this and which engine to get ??

Why not save a lot of hassle and fit a 1.8 back in it?

I know that it won't be a drop in, but that is as far as my knowledge extends. New mounts are required. 
You may as well go with a 1.3, or maybe you could put in a newer small block.

Have you got an insurance quote for what would be a modified cabriolet with the 1.3 engine? I think you'll find its higher still….

Also the car you create will be almost worthless
