1.8 gti 8v twin carb conversion

can any body please shed some light on the subject please?  (is it hard to do ect) many thanks :dontknow:

Not particularly difficult, and won't realy give you any real benefits over the injection set-up. May be slightly more power, but won't start as well, will be harder to keep running when cold and fuel consumption will be much higher!

All you really need is the carbs, a manifold and an appropriate fuel pump/filter and you are away!
Ideally they should be set up on a rolling road by someone who knows what they are doing as jets and chokes can be swapped to improve set up for your engine.

Oh - the downside of fitting them on an 8v is that they point backwards so do not get much direct cold air from the front of the car...
