im after advice on fueling etc ...

Hi all, Im in the process of hoarding parts for my little old 1.1.
I have a the abf lump with mounts and loom etc that was previously in a mk1 so its moded already, i have a gearbox from mk2 16v and shafts from a late cabrio.
super sprint pipes and manifold and k-jet metering head. I have a spare mount just in case the one thats on doesnt survive removal.

things i think i need but dont have as yet: steering rack with mount for 5 speed linkage
5 speed linkage, unless i can use the mk2 one?

So i think my biggest task is getting my fueling sorted, i have read and become a little overwhelmed many different methods for this. ???? O_oif i got a gti tank could i use any aftermarket pump / accumulator/ or do they have to match the k-jet system?

Im hoping to get to the AGM , abf or not so there could be a beer or 2 envolved for any advice ?

PS; im refurbing a brake linkage and upgrading as we speak… so no worries on stopping power!

cheers:thumbs:

mk1 golf 5 speed linkages you'll need, front to back

for fueling you need a mk1/cab/rocco kjet gti main pump, accumulator and fuel lines. crazyquifs do braided ones but 8mm copper pipe will work with good quality flares on the ends (buy an expensive flare tool!)

then you have 2 options:
1. fit gti fuel tank and L pipe to main pump, done. crazyquifs do the L pipe, these are NLA and you cant really use normal hose

2. fit post-84 cabrio, scirocco or any g40 shape polo lift pump and fuel reservoir to your old tank. trouble is fitting the accumulator and reservoir together isnt easy, unless you can get post-84 cab/rocco one as its a lot smaller.
