Any demand for these? Looking at making a GTI engine loom

If there is a demand which looms would be in demand?

I would be interested in a engine bay loom ! Would they have all the right connectors to plug into the fuse board ect ?

They would be an exact replica of an original.

Or we could make as a slightly modified loom for using with engine conversions.

Just trying to gauge what people want and whether to go ahead.

Alot would depend on cost, i have a 79 gti i sold a nos injection loom 5 years back on ebay, only got £60 for it.
The older 1.6 version

Ready made new conversion looms would be good rather than re wired old looms ! I would always go for quality over price but there would obviously be a limit to this.

Cost wise would be similar to an aircooled loom we sell so around £200

Its knowing what to make with there being so many varients, or trying to make something that "fits all"

Having just started placing mine back in, id jump at a complete, un-cut up, brittle, abused loom!

Personally, a 1.8 gti/ 1983 spec loom would be my request.

Would that have lighting, horn, washer etc? Quad lamps would be great..

As well as that I would anticipate a dash loom for the S2 cars would be well received, with nearly every project ive seen having alarms, burns/ shorts and radio mods!

Watching with interest, and hopefully a future customer.

Yes I would be interested in an original un messed with GTI loom, especailly if it was a high quality one with decent instructions

As above an 83 gti loom, engine/ dash loom would be great if not I'd gladly pay the extra for a full loom

Same here, 83 Gti engine and dash looms - these are always the ones that become problematic due to shorts, burns, alarm and stereo hacking.  The rear loom doesn't seem to messed up as much.
