what prices mk1 going for now

Hi

Looking to buy another mk1 golf if possible but i'm not sure what their going for now  hoping you guys can give me some idea

example:-  good condition no mot or tax gti 1.8

No more than ?400 tops , you would just about make that breaking it for spares , with full Mot scruffy runner 3 times that .  

Anyone else ?

600 to 800 i think in good nick prices have been rising i think over the past year .

Couple of gti's have come up recently that in pics look in good condition but both have not been mot'd or taxed.  Last one I bought was solid no welding and mot and taxed with a lot of paperwork for 600……. ok the wife found it and snapped it up while I was away, we've had it for 3 years now I think.

I don't have time to travel round which is a shame as for the right car I would travel but it's hard to get answers you need sometimes from sellers over phone.

Perhaps need to let the missus loose with my bank card again and keep fingers crossed……..maybe not lol
