What do you cover your mk1 with?

Mine has been under a dust sheet car cover in a barn for 12 years and now stands proudly on my drive. Think I need something a bit more waterproof and wondered what others use for their tintops?

My wife covers her mk1 in wax and polish and plenty of it and ultimately the garage while mine is covered in tree sap. But there are some neat ones on ebay for half the price of the stormforce ones that offer good rain, frost and uv protection

A guy who restores all manner of exotic cars told me to ensure the garage was dry, and then always use a cotton sheet over the car as it allows the car and paint to breathe.

I use the stormforce cover and can say it pretty good. Costs a fair bit, like dan said around £140. And doesn't completly cover the wheels, only just past center caps. But on the whole I'm pretty impressed.

surely everyones gets covered in rain with this glorious summer?

i bought a cheap car cover and the inside went mouldy from the condensation so dont buy really cheap

I got one from Halfords price about £50 - works not too bad - breathable kind of - keeps the rain out and also the bird mess, Thought about getting a stormforce cover but as my golf is actually on the road I was worried that someone would nick the cover!  8O  

I suppose it depends what you are trying to protect it from - best cover is a garage

dont you mean both the wifes        

i use a sealy medium silver cover, fits a treat

Think I'll pass on the cat hair and polish, wish for a garage and go for the storm.
