Problems With My Golf - Can you give me a quote?

Hello Everyone,

I have recently purchased a MK1 Golf on eBay and there are a few things wrong with it, I was wondering if anyone could give me a quote on fixing these bits and bobs as I don't have time to do it myself really:

- Passenger door doesn?t open, but it locks and unlocks fine.
- The drivers inside door handle is loose, it needs fixing properly.
- The heater doesn?t work at all. All switches etc are there.
- Rear heated screen doesn?t work.
- Rear wiper doesn?t work.
- Oil Pressure gauge is not working.
- Volts gauge not working
- When you put full beam on the front lights turn off
- One of the rear lights keeps blowing a fuse, I keep replacing it but it keeps blowing.
- Drivers seat is a bit loose in the runners

Also, if anyone wanted the challenge, I have some Subaru seats that I wanted to fit in it, I haven't really tried, but if you think you can do it that would be great!

you need a local fellow mk1 owner to pop over and give you a hand, most of the issues are easy fix's, im sure some would help.

Yeh I thought they would be, but I just don't really have time, so I just want to give it to someone else to do! Then magically when I get it back it is all working fine haha!!

Just go to an auto-electrician,should have it all done in a day  :wink:

If I remember right from my MkI-owning days, the front foglights are wired to go out when the main beam is switched on. I think it was mentioned in the handbook if you've got one, or someone else could confirm.
