Prept at Brandshatch tonight

So… is anyone on here going? It's the anual Prept + Players meet so should be a big meet  :wink:

I'll be there in my Silver Mk1.

I'll be there, sadly not in my mk1 though. Will be riding shotgun in a corrado. Will have my TorqueVW jumper on feel free to say hi if you see me.

Prept is your local VW meet then dude, it is on the last Wednesday of every month and is £2 per person to get in. Gates open at 7pm

Tonight is the biggest one of the year where the 'Players' (another meet) travel over to our Prept meet so we have one big meet, the last one saw around 500 VW's go into Brands Hatch so it is worth going if your free.

It's not just Mk1's though its all vag and a few other German makes.

It's only been there for around two years so I'll forgive you!  

only been here for 6 months dude. still discovering stuff. does the kent sussex mk1s ever have a meet there?

Not that I know of, to be honest I have never been to any of the owners club meets although would be interested in going if I am ever free when they are on so if you fancy cruising to one some day give me a pm at the time.

There is a yearly show at the Hop farm in Paddock Wood which is not far so you would probably get to that one next year quiet eaisly?

Where abouts are you living then? I'm just moving to Whitstable so am actually moving a bit further away from Brands, although I have lived 5 mins away from it most of my life!

Couldn't make last night due to plumbing issues (not mine, the house). But i saw some interesting dubs in the area on the way home.

I'm in west kingsdown. Never been to a kent meet but went to a few when i lived in hertfordshire.
Deffo drop you a message if anything else happens in the area. Did you get there last night. Any mk1's?

Yep I got there  :wink:

There were quiet a few actually. Lots of white ones, a few stripped out. One had a 16v on carbs but the others had the bonnets shut. There were a few cabs too, a dark blue Rivage, about three or four black cabs, a light metalic blue and a minty green one. plus a few caddys.

One of my best mates lives in West Kingsdown and has a mars red Mk1 Gti undergoing a though resto at the moment at our workshop so you can look out for that one in a few years as a local Mk1!

Pretty good turn out then. Will deffo go in August. Will drop you a pm to see if you're going to.

That's funny about your mate - i also have a mars red gti i'm working on. Be good to meet him to get some advice.
