right then everyone

after waching a set of these sell on ebay for about £250 the other week these are massively out of my price range

so i had a play today to make my own

so far i've made a press to get the shape and i've just drawn up the pirelli logo

what i'm asking is has anyone got a close up photo of a standard metal cap as need to make sure i'm getting it right as i'm only working to a plastic cap with a stick on logo

i think they look top dollar awesome work... how do they attach at the back? and will you be able to source the black bit round the edge?

Not bad at all, but I prefer them sprayed silver. As a promo you can send me a set and I'll let you know how i get on.

the fixing on the back is all sorted will get picks up soon as i've finished it

i've not decided on weather i wanna polish my wheels or spray but will decide when all the paint is stripped and sanded

i'm a cnc operator and had  abit of ali lying around so thought i'd get busy

Ah i thought the black ring round the cap would be of a different material, like a rubber seal kind of thing… now im thinking its a solid metal piece i get it lol

Amazing! Well done mate I'm very impressed. Seeing that cap makes me want to go buy some P slots. Will the caps be a one off or will you be making more?

Get a load of them made up mate, and start selling them. Look at how much the plastic ones are going for.

If they are good and the fit is spot on and they don`t fly off when your driving, then you could make a killing on them.

So is that why you wanted to know about my vw steels or do you want them?
If your serious about selling yours why not just sell them and let people worry about fitting them, or why not just bond some 4 stud plastic trims cut down on the back so they fit ,or everybody why not just do that?  :dontknow:
