Pink Golfs

The reason I'm posting pictures of pink Mk1 Golfs is that I've heard this rumour - for which I can find no proof - that VW did a 'fancy boy' special edition at the end of the production run.  Surely this is just a rumour and there's no truth to it, but just in case I thought I'd ask a group of people who will probably know.

Still, it's a good reason to post some pictures of pink Golfs, if nothing else.

This is the only one I can find directly referred to as a Fancy Boy, but it looks more like an owner modified than a factory original to me.











It's definitely just a rumour isn't it… isn't it?

Having read this post to be honest I've not heard this rumour before, however I only discovered the 'Genesis' version six months back.

I'm no expert but my best guess it's a rumour, I might get shot down in flames but someone has to be first!   

But I do know that there was a toy one for 'Barbie & Ken', don't ask why I can remember cause I was an Action Man fan.
