Most sort after.....?

Hi what would you say is a more sort after model an original 1983 1.8 non sunroof Gti or a Campaign model…..???

Both are nice chris because they are mark one's.
it's all down to personal choice but a campaign for
me all day long. :wink:

I think the word "campaign" is overated, after all it's just a mk1 gti with merely a few added extras. If I had to choose I would go for a non sunroof model(non campaign) and add on the tinted glass and leather steering wheel.

The real sought after GTI models are the early s1, when in good condition can command good money. I've been looking now for a good few years for a GTI s1 with no luck. Guess dubboy got them all tucked up in a barn somewhere?

Non-sunroof with campaign features for me!!

The ultimate has to be a Campaign on an EW chassis no.

[Doesn't hurt if someone spent more than the initial purchase price on fettling at BRM either!]  

Condition and mileage are also important to me, I spent quite a while looking for a campaign, I would have considered a regular gti if it was exceptional though.

Dont really have a preference for either, if I was buying I would be looking for the one in the best state of repair.  The last one I bought happened to be one with a sunroof, 65k and an EW chassis number :wink:

I'd settle for a smashed up cabby with an immaculate brown interior that I got to first and was able to strip out before anyone else!!!    :roll:

I'd have to say 83 1.8gti non sunroof in black with campaign looks. Only because thats what i have
