MK1 Golf GTi wheel arch trims

Hi, Does anyone know where/if I can get hold of genuine VW wheel arch trims for a restoration project on my MK1 GTi I am working on… and what sort of price I would be looking at?

A full set of VW arch trims went for £310 last week  8O

i only paid £450 for the cabby and that has a set on it

I have a genuine set of 4 , never used i would let go for £200.00 . You will never find another set i got the last genuine set direct from vw germany about 7 years ago .  Not to be confused with pattern items .

Great, will bear that in mind, have put a bid in for the ones on ebay so will wait to see what happens there. Had heard from a friend that germany were starting to produce again from next month? Not sure if this is true, as no-one else seems to have heard this.

Heard this last night from an employee of a company based here that they have soruced a company in Germany with the original moulds and are in the process of making them again.They have a sample already and just waiting for agreement.Can't say the company as don't know if they want to go public or not as yet… :wink:

Did you want black ones? Got a set of of white ones that need a bit of work where they were removed (not by me). They are genuine ones.

Do you remember the article in Golf+ a couple of months back when thy visited the stores at Wolfsburg? There was a side article about what the Mk1 fraternity would like to see reproduced?

Well this answers were from myself, the arch trims being one such item. Can't claim any credit for reproduction but every little helps!!!  :wink:

Can get you a NOS genuine set. What year is your car as there a 2 different types.
