Mk1 dash dials

I have a 1988 cabby and I was wondering if the dash was the orignal or added at a later time, my partner seems to think they are not orignal due to the colour, any thoughts…….

Not original.

Not original - look at the small slits on both of the clocks where the needles have been slipped through. The good news is that the original are probably sitting behind these stickers.

All you need to do is take the clock unit out of the dash (not a hard job), take it apart and hopefully just gently pull the stickers off. You may need a little white spirit or something to help them off. Should take you no more than an hour or two…

i quite like those, they dont look bad, different from the norm

It's getting used to the red haze and how muco petrol is left lol
