Mk1 Cab runout question

I've been told that the very last few cabs on a K plate that were clippers were fitted with the Gti engine and rivage wheels and paint. Is this true. reason being is I've seen one for sale and it is badged up as a clipper and a gti and this is what the seller has told me. Does this sound right?

No it's either a clipper or a gti but not both.
