May have to sell Evie, advice please

Hi all, Ive been absent from "the scene" for a while but still have the VWs. At the minute we have my MK1, a Passat Estate VR6, Passat salloon diesel work horse and a concours 68 Karmann Ghia. I would really appreciate some helpful feedback / advice on selling my  modified mk1 Golf & how much she could make. I have owned it since 2003 and would rather not sell but we're expecting another baby and if the price is right, she will have to go. She comes along with shedloads of history and will be sorely missed.

"Evie" was originally a GL Auto model and featured an attractive blue shagpile carpet After I got her in '03 she was driven as a daily until the engine became tired and needed changing. She was literally saved from the scrappers and all mods etc were carried out from necessity and on a budget.

In august 07 an engine from a mk2 golf 1.6 driver was fitted along with the manual gearbox. The engine had been rebuilt and had done around 5k. The black GTi style interior from a mk1 GX was fitted including carpet, dash, door cards & seats.

In the winter, a respray was carried out which included having most of the trim removed & sprayed over.
Ronal alloys were refurbed and colour coded.

In 2008, the head was removed and ported and polished to fast road use along with the addition of a 4 branch manifold and mk1 gti gearbox.

The brakes are brembo vented discs with green stuff pads.

About 4 months ago we fitted coilovers.

Bad Points:

Some bubbling / few scratches to the paint but overall , no rot, a very solid car.
Engine bay isnt tidy but the car runs fine.
Some parts of the clocks arent working, needs a new set.

Has been a realiable daily since 2003 & much loved

I can't believe Evie is the same car that was on your posts here a few years back. she looks great and a credit to you. Doubt you'll have any problem selling her whatsoever.
Good luck with the pregnancy…. I see why you've got the Passat estate!
