Are they of any use for our old girls?
Good morning all,
Been away a long time and came back to what i can describe as a beauiful looking revamped site.
Congrats on whom arranged this as i personally love the feel and look of it.
Anyway i have noticed these new style led bulbs:-
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CANBUS-382-P21W-27-WHITE-SMD-LED-ERROR-FREE-REVERSE-LIGHT-BULBS-/271064185722?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AGolf|Plat_Gen%3AMK+I&hash=item3f1caf3b7a
Has anyone fitted these and done a comparison to our standard bulbs.
Did you notice any benefits are they too bright, cause glare, Does light bleed into other comparments of light housing etc.
Best wishes
Pete

I believe maybe it is the led clusters that may be illegal as these are only to light up the cluster not pointing direct led light at drivers behind, like those annoying leds on range rovers for example.
There as been a few sold, was hoping to see if anyone here already fitted them to see pros and cons of them.
Will do more searching on the net.
Best wishes

I have LED reverse bulbs in my Fiesta and they are pretty good but they tend to give a bit of a Purple/Blue tint when illuminated its only slight though but they do look nicer than standard, I have aftermarket lamps on my Golf and I intend on going down the LED route with that also, I got mine from a place in Leeds I will try and find details and post them up but the quality has been pretty good been in over 2 yrs now and still ok.

Well they cant be illegal either because they go straight through an M.O.T. no problem at all just the same as Silvertec indicator bulbs do, Each to their own I say not everyone wants their car factory standard life would be boring if we all stuck to the rules.....just saying like.

Easy dude, we can't all be early tin top legends, some of us fly the flag for later models.d76n said

And NO, I won't be fitting them to my late model thanks, I'll leave that to the Saxo boys.
