Is this worth its price?
Im really tempted by it but am i just going to lose 3k on it as soon as i buy it?
Ive been emailing the guy and it sounds a really nice build
I cant afford 9K for it anyway but i could get 7K, not sure if that will offend him or not!

It was in Performance Vw Magazine a couple of months ago.I happened across the photoshoot and stopped by to be nosey!
It is really clean and obviously fast, but for £9k i would want the underside to gleam as much as the top

You would think they might have put more info into the add & that's not a "full" cage.

It appeals to me as there is nothing to do to the car and it would be ideal for me to have sat in the garage (I would probably put small bumpers on it and other little changes) and I could use it on weekends, detail it and put it back. I'm thinking of spending around 5-6k on a nice summer car and I have exhausted the possibilities and still landed back at the mk1 golf with healthy bhp figures as I love the shape and VW's!
He said 8.5k is the lowest he would take so it's out of my budget, and what I would like to reasonably pay for it anyway.

Very nice looking car. Most of the money spent would deffinately have gone on the 16v turbo motor, if it is truly race spec. 16V turbo is also a bit different from the now rather normal 20VT transplant.

My main worry would be maintaining it if anything that was custom went wrong on it.
Oh and put your foot down in a 300+ brake mk1, expect to buy lots of spare pants.
Back to the original question, i'd say yeah it's worth it versus the spec. If your happy in another mans ride, go for it.!!
