Is this a Good Campaign??

I have recently picked up this car i fell in love with it an its inspired me to drive as i am 29 an have NO car experience!! but hey i love it, anyways i dunno whether this a campaign or not its an 83 GTi, the twin headlight grill is in the boot… It has NO engine but the body is sweet everywhere paint also seems good but car is very dusty in the pics, i no they have a 7mm gap between the p's of wheels.
But i am basically at a loss i could chuck money at it but just dunno where to start, it needs a 1.8 8v right… what it worth now an when done? advise PLZ

Hey a good bit of polish and I think the car should come up great.I can't see a problem sourcing a 1.8 engine for it.As for being a Campaign model I'm sorry but I don't no enough about them to say yes it is one or no.Your chassis number on the scuttle panel will tell you if you make note of it and ask one of the committee guys perhaps I'm sure they would be able to help.

If you can make it to the annual Mk1 meet at the end of the month then go for it every body is friendly and will be glad to answer any questions you might have.You might be able to get afew bits and pieces aswell.

I dont think its a campaign though but looks like it may well be one of the later 1.8 mk1's.
im sure that someone more knowledgeable than me will let you know.
It should have an ew in the chassis number if it is..

Have you tried the registers to see if your vehicle is on there and may give you a bit more history

Thx for all the above, i tried registering the car via this site, but it told me someone else owns it.... anyway if that correct it not a campaign as it a dw. does anybody know what it worth as it stands, an roughly what it would be after completed efforts are complete, an thx for 1st reply you just in truro! i in pz not far :-)
