How rare are s1 cabbys?

Just brought a s1 cabby, only the 2nd I have ever seen in the flesh, would they be worth any more over a normal cab?

Now do I restore or rip apart…….

Sell on to let someone else restore. Shame to break it

Del Boy's S1 just went for 6K so I guess that is the upper limit? Had 20K miles, was a CC edition. Was on the market for ages.

RESTORE. Looks to good to rip apart

its actually quite rotten despite having 11 months MOT!

cill had a big hole, inner wing has a hole, rear panel is rotted both sides, wiper holes have rot, the scuttle tray has been covered in under seal so prob hiding rot, the wheel well has holes, there is a nasty plate welded underneath, 1/4 is full of filler and thats before i start looking for issues!

Pretty sure im going to break it as id rather put the effort in to a tintop.

It is obviously quite rare so why not offer it up for sale for someone else to restore rather than send it to its grave  :dontknow:

because its worth more in parts.

if someone wants the shell then thats fine but im not a charity (despite your best attempts stu)
