how many s1's?

just wondering how many true series ones there are

a. on the forum
b. in the uk

at gaydon there was only three my rather appalling example and two minters.
that cant be it!!!! the register shows 140 but i think thats a bit out off date as are all of em because we cant update the listings our selves

and while I'm on the subject I'm still after the main part off a s1 dash i got the clocks now

Are we talking all series ones ie any engine size or just the gti`s..? i`m correct in thinking that the series one gti right hand drive were only produced between 79-80 if so how many of these are left…? I`ve pictured mine below… :mrgreen:

ive just put the details of an s1 gti into this site and theyre apparently breaking 43 of them at the moment. maybe find your dash there?

48 golfs, dnthink they mean mk1s

well, you put the exact details of the make and model (eg, 1979, 2door hatch GTI, 1.6) and it tells you if its got anything from that model. it would be a bit pointless to put all the details in if it was just going to give you a list of general golfs or VW's!

The site does search 180 breakersso having 43 s1's is quite poss!

i filled it all in, just dnt think its that acurate

just did it again but changed the details to 1990 ryder and got 48 golfs breaking

ive used em before for bits for the mk4 and they seem fairly reliable!

iv changed it 4 times and keep getting the same answer,
not saying your wrong, just that im wriite LOL

surely this is dubboys domain…? i`d be interested in how many early gti`s are still about,you dont see many at shows.
