help with ordering car parts for my gti

Hi all,

having some issues ordering parts.

on websites the mk1 golf goes up to 1983.

ive got a mk1 cabby gti 1988. its a kjet.

Im wanting to orders discs and pads.

also a clutch kit and in general other bits.

Do i use the mk1 golf gti up to 83 or mk2 golf parts.

Driving me mad.

Last thing i ordered was a panel filter but used the mk2 golf bit and ended up with a filter which was to long but then i was about to order a clutch kit using the mk1 kit which says 190mm. ive been told i need a 210mm kit which is under the mk2 section.

anyone help with this.

mate try mid west for your bits ive had no trouble getting parts from them with my D reg!

Euro car parts have updated there system.

Type your reg in and away you go.

i have a new clutch, cable and fitting kit for my 83 gti.

would you care to buy them from me?  Delivery would be a bit cos the clutch is heavy, but we could sort something.

I got them brand new from vw heritage or www.vwheritage.com and never fitted cos I don't need them after fixing my engine mounts!!

The clutch is "sachs" and the cable is oem.

also, forgot to mention, there are a couple of good sellers on ebay for mk1 parts.

chubnut and tierod do all service parts.  just ebay search "vw golf mk1 brake pads" for 62 results

thanks for the email but i got a LUK clutch yesterday.

Ill check ebay for brake parts.
