GTI deep chin spoiler

Does anyone know what year this was released.. I have a Y reg GTI but ony has the smaller spoiler.

No idea but get a deep chin spoiler anyway they look good  

dubboy will be able to tell you if the very first GTIs had them or not, but as far as I know, all MK1 GTIs had the deep chin spoiler. It sounds like someone's swapped it, in the past.

I think the series 1 small rear light GTi's had the smaller chin spoiler ('75 to '80)

I think they had the big one.
