golf alloy wheels question
hi, i have a vw golf mk1 cabriolet karman it has 2 headlamps on each side in the front. like this one http://www.ltv-vwc.org.uk/wheelspin/ws_Oct_2001/golf_white_T_Antoniou.jpg but mine is maroon.
could any one tell me what alloys/wheels they came oout with? any photos will be very helpful.

hey dude, welcome to the site…
all cabbies are made by karmann, that's the car designer, not the spec.
the quad grill, again, doesn't define the model, but the one in the picture looks like a "clipper" though originally, these would have a small sticker on rear panels saying "clipper".
In brief, it's impossible to know for sure what type of cab you've got. If it's a clipper, it originally came with 14" steels.
Perhaps post some pics for someone to help better?
alternatively slam it on some BBs and you can't go wrong.

i think the only way you can actually be 90% sure of what you car had on it when it left the factory would be to have a look at the option sticker in the boot! (if it is still there)
