CRAZY QUESTION - Where can I find my jack?
I owned a series 1 about 20 years ago and now have a 1989 cab clipper. This clipper is quite new to me. So I can't remember from my first golf or find on my new cab where my car jack is placed.
If I get the old brain cells working and think back. Am I right in thinking that they come in a bag that just sits in the boot?
If so I don't have one :?
My cab has just pasted it's MoT and at the mow i'm carting a trolley jack around.
- So if any body has a spare jack one for sale?
Regards

There should be a plastic cradle, which sits within the spare wheel which is located underneath the boot floor (accessed from the inside by lifting the mat). In the cradle is the jack, wheel brace and (I think - mine is gone!) a screwdriver. Might be that only cars with hubcaps got the screwdriver, so you can lever them off though.
I think I have a good one I could sell, I'll have a look and let you know if you like?

Thanks for the info Paul C.
At least now I know I don't have one.
Just checked out the boot and I have a screw driver and brace but no cradle and no jack.
I would consider your spare if you able to find it.
I've been jaking it up on a small trolly jack which is OK but it take the surface under seal off every time I use it.
Thanks again
Cheers
