complete car found in scrap yard (photos added)

Hi all, I went to my local scrap yard today, and they had just got in a 3 door 1983 mk1 diesel, the interor lookes complete and unmolested, black door cards, black pvc backed seats with blk/wht cloth, sun roof, the thing that caught my eye was the wolfsberg steering wheel and a centre console that is screwed to the tray that sits under the dash, never seen 1 before, it does look like it should be there. the owner had fitted 2 dials in this consol, 1 oil, 1 vilts. only the oil is a VDO dial, but it is in German and says Oel. If any one wants me to get any thing from this car I will get it it and only charge what the scrayie charges plus postage. If you do want something I am going back and will take my camara this time as I forgot it today. please let me Know. PS this is a left hand drive, so the front passenger seat (UK drivers seat) is in good nick.

Hi all, the car is out here in Germany. thats why I said I would post some bits, It would be a bit hard for the larger Items but I will try to get down today with the camara, as its only 10mins from my house.

I would like the the seats if only the passenger one being LHD but I guess posting a seat may be a problem let me know if you can do it. Andy :dontknow:

Is it a serise 1 diesel or a Series 2

i.e are the rear lights like a cabriolet.??

I will be after the radio if it has one and the clocks.

Would love to have a engine too.

Hi ALL, i  have some photos now. as i had to climb to the car when I first looked yestrday, it looked better that it is, the seats do look good but they have been stuffed with foam packaging. The Bootcards are still there but the PVC cover has started to shrink and peel away. have a look.











With these KMs I guese the engine has had it.








the steering whel and the oil filler cap are for sale if any one wants them.

i fyou stumble across and original radio then pm me how much you would like for it, i need one!

Wouldnt mind the ashtray with the blank for the cigarette lighter from the red 3 door  in your last pics if its ok to post to Colchester Essex. Wish I was still in Germany  

The "oel" cap is quite hard to get a hold of,deffo worth saving,also the chrome trim on the front doors and seals.

That car looks in good nick

Wish i could get that engine.

The clocks are no good to me since they are in Km.

Do you know of any Series 1 for sale mate.

not seen any series 1s in there m8, but I always keep an eye out.
