Car of the month for April

I was reading the story on the homepage about Nigel, the 17 year old who has opted for a classic mk1 because of the insurance dilemma he was faced with.

It inspired me to tell my 17 year old brother who is faced with the same dilemma, he gets quotes over £4000 for cars with a value of £500!

Anyone know Nigel? Would be keen to know which insurance company he went through.

Thanks!

Martin.

Good shout Kenno - I've PM'd him! I'm knew to this, hence why I didn't think of that!

Multi-car policies do appear to be a good option but we don't live at the same risk address unfortunately :-(

Thanks for the replies though.

Hi there, you don't need to live at the same address for Admiral Multicar any more, we've changed our wording so it includes any other cars within the family, so as long as its close family you can add the other car at a different risk address.

Hope this helps.

insurance

hi gridlestone sorry about the late reply, Im insured with footman james on their classic car policy, im paying around £1368 a year, or something around that. I get breakdown cover and no claim bonuses and im limited to 4500 miles per year. give them a search on google for the details. theres only certain cars that under 25 year olds can get insured on, it has to be insurance group 3 or under so your looking at a 1.3 tops i think. If i remember correctly the geaser said the cars are:

Beetle over 15 years old
Golfs over 20
Polos over 25
and i think there was an mg thrown in there.

erm also ry adrian flux i think they do classic car insurance

hope that helps you :)

How did you manage to get a classic policy. I tried with them and they told me i had to be 25 or older. Was on a gti though
