Caged up

im one step closer now to completing my track/chav slaying golf!! the rear cage is going in today    all sprayed up now and the cars drilled ready i just need to make the spreader plates for under the floor and then im done      

ill get some picss up when its all sorted

Aye i installed the cage my self with help from me dad, I didnt manage to get any picks up as by the time i had got the seats back in and the harnesses set again etc it was picth black and then i was straight out to MFN as it was the last night, ill try and get some pics tonight long with my new GTi badge, (its a bit tacky but i love it!! i know of one 1 other on the road and thats my cuz's on her pug)

i just hope i have my cam by track time… that and that nothing else lets me down before then,  

where did you get your runners from for your bucket seats . i need to get some to fit mambo seats for my project

my seat subframes came from a company called http://www.2modified.com/ they were the lowest priced ones i could find

the cage is sprayed gloss silver, nothing flashy or fancy just practicle.

also got me GTi badge on now

Foxy, i admit its not to everyones taste, but its something thats not the norm and if you find another ill be suprised!    (the video doesnt do it justice, and there are 5 different modes for the way it lights up….that sounds a little sad doesnt it… ill get me coat)

8)  Where did you get the cage from fella?

brought it from a guy i work with at the proving ground, it came out of a mk1 track car he brought to use for bits, sat in his garage for a couple of years collecting dust and point stains untill i took it off his hands for ?100    quick sand down and spray in silver and bobs your uncle. i believe its a safety devices cage, and it has a code and year staped onto one of the front feet plates so its pucka, not some home made thingy.
