Cabrio roof racks??

I've seen Mk 3 Cabrio roof racks for sale….They are the same design as the Mk 1 roof racks…..Wondered if anyone knew whether with some adjustment they may fit the mk1 cabrio….VW are often lazy…may be similatr dimensions despite Mk3 seemingly bigger!!!???

i am also looking for the mk1 cab roof rack, where did you find the mk3 one. i'd love a genuine vag one tho

i don't think that some people realise that there is a roof rack for a cabby and so they look at you funny when you ta;k about it

Anyone have a Mk3 to let me know the difference in dimensions?  This guy I found wants ?60 for a Mk3 rack…would be coool if could get to squeeze on a Mk1….

If demand is at a worth while level then why not try to get the plans for the cabby roof rack or borrow one and take it to a parts company, see if they can make a batch?
