A Sad day indeed.

As some of you may know (mainly Allana13!), my Mk1 81 Diesel was taken from me by the guy that sprayed it in July and i have FINALLY issued a legal consent order to get the car back. However, the problem is that I have spent several thousand pounds on court costs and solicitor costs so am unable to continue the project.

Very shortly, you will see in the for sale section:

- 1981 4 door freshly painted rolling shell in a old school Audi brown
- 4 x Ronal Turbo's with nearly new tyres
- fully reconditioned 1600 diesel engine with new injectors (spent £300 just getting it reconditioned). It's never been started!
- Gearbox for 1600 diesel engine
- New Custom weave doorcards and matching coconut floor mats
- Brand new Clutch for the above engine
- Brand new triple coated chrome bumper set still in box
- Brand new Chrome door handles
- Brand New Chrome waistline trim all round
- Brand New Hottuning coilovers in box
- Brand new VAG windscreen
- Brand new windscreen seal
- Brand New Chrome window seal
- Brand New left and right chrome wing mirrors
- Brand new Radiator


Plus loads more that I have probably forgot about.

Well…

I've issued a consent order to get the car back and it should be in my possession by the 7th Jan. I've had to pay him £2000 to get it back though!

The court case still continues as he is taking me to court, claiming that I owe him over £9000 pounds for "additional work" and storage charges since July. It looks like the case will continue until early April.

This really wasn't what I had in mind when I took this project on.   

make sure he hasnt damaged the car in any way,before you pay the money over,he could have damaged the paintwork or cut the loom etc  :dontknow:

They're local and Rob is a member on here (user name is k33ts) I think they've worked on and painted some top MK1's, from what I've seen the work looks spot on

that sounds awful, sounds like it would have made a beautiful car too, hope all goes well for you though
