Want your car featured in Practical Classics mag?

Hi all,

I'm looking to run a large hot hatch group test in an upcoming issue of Practical Classics magazine, and was wondering if anyone here would like to have their car featured in the mag?

The crux of the test: were any of the pretenders good enough to topple the GTI from its king of the hill position? I'm looking at running a photo session sometime around the 21st September, location to be confirmed, but somewhere around the South East/East Midlands.

If you have a car, and are interested, please get in touch. My email address is keith.adams@emap.com.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Keith

Mate gets it posted and I had a read on Sat whilst at his bonfire. 205 was best but to be fair to the MK1 the Peugeot design is almost 10 years younger. I had a 205 Diesel, nice engine shame about the car and the dealers were even worse......

I have had the misfortune to own a 1.9 & a 1.6 205 and although the engines maybe good, the overall build quality is cack!! The Golf in comparison is far superior in all area's!!!  8)

had the fortune to own a 205 1.6gti for 3 years, had no problems at all and was an absolute blast. As for long term build quality cant comment but was fine for the 3 years I had.

must have been lucky

VW passat 110TDI I had for 7 years and had a host of problems with door locks, catlytic convertor etc. Had a much more solid feel but had more problems, which was a disappointment after the 205. Didnt feel great diving in the cold with a drivers door that wouldnt lock until it had warmed up. Would shut but just bounce open.
