Remember reading ages ago that the 80s FWD Escort was to be Fords 'world car', common across the planet. After the US had finished with it only the water pump gasket was the same as European ones….

Don't laff, the US Westmoreland Golf must have very few parts interchangable with Euro ones?

And is that a cycle carrier on the back of the Golf, it sticks out that far?

i wonder how many xr3i's are still going compared to the golf,though values judging by ebay the fords are now catching up and in some cases are fetching more money.
