Call for a car (to thrash a Astra GTE down a quarter mile)

Hey all,

So as above, who wants to thrash a Mk1 Vauxhall Astra GTE down a 1/4 mile and be able to watch it on TV?

If you have an original MK1 GTi, with a roof (sorry floppy tops) and can get to Bruntingthorpe in a couple of weeks - email a photo of your car and your details to marketing vwgolfmk1 .org.uk

Thinking about it…  If a mk1 is needed to thrash an Astra GTE, surely just a 1.1 would do??

In all seriousness I have always wanted a Mk1 Astra GTE.  I used to have the GTE Recaros in my first car  which was a 1.2 Opel Kadett D Series saloon (Mk1 Astra with half a boot).

Filming will be on Thursday 28th of January and your car will be required from 9am until 3pm. There will be 2 segments on the show - someone fancy stepping forward and representing the club and making a Vauxhall look rubbish?

Mine has a 4 into 1 exhaust manifold and a tsr pack a head.  Would that be too non-standard?
