Where to obtain Valuations for Agreed Value MK1 Insurance?

Hi All,

Last couple of years have been taking a bit of a gamble with my MK1 GTI, as have not had it on agreed value whilst driving it in the summer…

Spoke to my Agent, and they said they needed a report from someone who could value these cars

Most insurance companies seem to take pictures as evidence to back up the value you want, but alas mine does not

Any suggestions of someone close to Cardiff South Wales, as I don't want to travel too far as I only do about 500-1000 miles a year in her anyway

Whats the going market rate these days for a compeltely rust free Lhasa Green MK1 GTI Campaign Full History, with 100K miles?  Almost concourse condition?

Was thinking of putting ?3K on it?

Thats what footman james do, they were happy with three photos of mine and agreed 3500, mine is Lhasa, loads of miles on it, no history.

I'd go for more than 3000, more like 4000 but thats just me.
So long as the valuation bod agrees.

As to knowing of anywhere i cant really help you out on that score.

I'm sure someone else can tho.  :wink:
