20yr old with a 1.3 with mods!
Just thought i would let you all know my good news!
Currently insured with Elephant insurance.
Im 20 years old, held my licence for 2 and a half years and last year had no NCB as was a named driver on my dads policy on a polo.
Been insured for a year now on my own policy on my golf 1.3 driver, mods declared (non standard alloys, lowered) and last year my insurance was £1700, which was the cheapest i could find
Renewal came through today and its gone down to £850!! So Chuffed

It's only gonna come down more!
My van is insured with Brentache and it came down from £1200 to £700, mods declared on rd parking..
The golfs insured with Heritage, for £300!

haha yea man, i was expecting around £1000 for my renewal, so £850 is even better! its ridiculous how expensive it can be tho! mines Third party F&T and stored in a locked Garage :/ i think next year im going to start to shop around for a better deal, as il be 21 and 2 years NCB…hopefully haha

Nice work. It seems to be the first year that's the killer. Well you have now got more money to spend on the car as you please.

Could that be something to do with the new laws where you cannot be charged more because of your gender, thats a similiar amount to what my 18 year old daughter paid last year.
