Yes it was mate. 3,000 miles (probably why mine was sooo good I take it yours is a daily?) and agreed value of ?3,000 for one and ?1,000 for the other.

For 4,500 I was quoted ?200 so not a big increase at each stage really?

I got a quote from FJ ?193 then tried my company that I have for the X Trail. Roland Smith of Liverpool quoted me ?109 for the same agreed value with a 3000 mileage limit.
Obviously I sacked FJ as they just weren't competative enough.

I agree they are rip-off merchants but the 10% who think it OK to not be insured certainly don't help.

Blimey, think i hit a nerve!!!!
All i was aying is that its amazing how inconsistent insurance companies can be from quote to quote.
So my mk1 is a 93, should that matter?? I thought 15 years was a requirement for classic cover… obviously not in this case……… and for this company!!

Nahh… Everyone has an opinion on insurance, it's just one of those subjects, let's face it NOBODY wants it until they have a smash or a burglary or fall ill, then it's the best money they've ever spent.
White mans burden mate.

The inconsistency thing is right though. Sometimes you think some have plucked a random price off the top of their heads. Like the comparison sites coming up with everything from ?500 to ?130 for the same cover. :?
