Diamond ladies only insurance...
Just thinking about this the other day… While I don't have a problem with it and can see why it is done… is it entirely legal to actively discriminate against males by having a company that only provides insurance to females?
If I was being irritating, could I apply for insurance from Diamond, be turned down on the basis of being a man, and then sue them for violation of human rights/discrimination legislation? Or does that only apply to employees?
Just curious!
Cheers,
Drew.

Haha yeah, i remember reading in the paper that all they need is one person to take these insurance companies to court for the law to be decided and a precedent to be set, they chances are the individual will win and the insurance companies will have to have equal prices, all we need is one brave volunteer!!
I'm now mk1less, ahhhhhhh!

My wife got her insurance through Diamond one year. She decided that the company must have been set up by a man taking the piss out of women because:
a) The cover only lasts 10 months (something they don't tell you until the policy arrives)
b) Direct line were cheaper for 12 months cover
I suspect Sheila's Wheels are the same, plus the adverts present women in a really poor light  what with all the messing about they do whist they are supposedly driving safely.
Is it just me, or are all insurance adverts really annoying apart from Churchil?
Ohhhhhhhh, yes.

Apparently Diamond insure men too, they just don't advertise it.
