Classic Insurance for 21 year old?
Is there any companies that arent on comparison sites like a group or owner club scheme. (dont make a churchill insurance joke lol)
Ill soon have 1 year NCB but these sites are still saying about £650-700/year

If you are getting quotes of 650-700 as a 21 year old with nearly 1 years ncd it looks to me like you are on to a winner already. Most people of your age would love quotes that low![]()
Too right, mines £1100 on a 1.5 GL as a named driver and I'm 21… That's with admiral.

Your son may need to drive a car he can afford to insure for a few years then go back to the mk1 golf with some ncd. That or pay stupidly high insurance is the reality i guess![]()
I couldn't help but laugh at this… the quotes he is getting for a mrk1 golf is cheap. I got quoted 12k for a corsa and my friend got quoted 20k for a citreon c2. They will do anything to keep young drivers off the road.
Hoping to be patrolling the streets of the north east in a nice mrk1 Golf someday

Although you can ask for a 'classic policy' at your age, it really means f-all and you'll pay the same but you'll just have limited mileage. Also if someone crashes into you… they'll compare your car to banged up '92 model on auto trader and tell you they want to write it off 'cos it's not worth more than £800 (true story).
Classic policies are for over 25's. Keep her til you are 25 and watch that £700 quote get chopped into 3!
I got a quote a week before my 25th Birthday = £750
Then got a quote on my birthday = £230
25 is the golden number son!

Insurance companies are as bad as estate agents - blood sucking vultures!
They'll reach into your arse to remove your yearly premium and then when it comes to crunch time, you'll find out your not covered for diddly squat!
Once a year I get it over with and try to forget about it… Until I get on the internet and have a bloody good rant about it.
When I'm a millionaire I shall be self insured… then roll around in god mode. Lottery ticket anyone?
