Wont start

Hi all, ok connected the negative wire to negative battery and got a spark, so thats sorted. Now took the fuel pump underneath the car and connected it direct to battery and presto it works but it was throwing fuel out where the fuel pipe connects with a jubilee clip not the banjo side. Is this correct ?

Hi all, just to let you all know got the car started ot was the fuel pump underneath the car. I think it had, had its days, but now am in need for a filler neck. Mine has a hole at top. Any advise is much appreciated.
