The 2 on top of the oil filter are (I’ll check position later)
1. high oil pressure
2. oil temperature
Not sure on the 2 pin sensor on front of head coolant pipe as I've only 1 pin type and that's for the coolant temperature gauge.
Got a picture of it?
Wire colours I'll have to look later.

One is black and single pin that is the oil temperature sensor.
The White one with the spad connector is the Low oil pressure High RPM and it will flash the light and sound the buzzer that is in the back of the innards of the speedo.
On the Front water outlet flange there can be a sensor that is 2 pin it is the coolant temp sender that can operate the coolant gauge in the car. Or it could be for the CIS Lambda sender also called the CTS sender, where as there should be another sensor that goes to the water temp gauge.
The Sensor that is on the side of the head if it is a "Can" goldish looking is the Oil pressure sender to the center console and low oil pressure warning. It can als be a single spad that is blue/brown/green colored, that too is the low pressure warning.
Knowing the specifics of the car as make, model, year, engine 1.5d,1.6d, 1.7, 1.8 and fuel system is paramount to the proper use and what each sensor/sender does. (ie: Diesel, Gasser(CIS, Carbed, or Digifant) as I don't know the specifics of a 2h dx, or whatever.

You are giving me too much credit.mark1gls said
I hoped Briano1234 would know as he's a fountain of knowledge on all things Mk1's ..
My knowledge on Golfs/Rabbits/Diesels/Cabriolets is but likened to a Thumb into a Teacup, Plenty of room left over for the tea for what I don't know.
See my bolded additions to my last post.
