Weber Carb Guide..

Post

Anyone got one?

Hello,

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but..

Has anyone seen or knows of a previous threads that show how to remove the flange gasket from a weber carb?

Mine is split and needs replacing, is it just a case of undoing the 4 nuts on the studs at the base of the carb and then it slides off over these or do you have to remove the studs as i cant see how you do that. The carb assembly has 1 longer stud than the rest, what is the reason for this?

I can remove the flange gasket from the manifold but unsure how to remove the gasket from the carb itself?

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Hi

I changed mine not so long ago, some people may not approve of my methods but as the bolts are fiddly as hell to get to and undo and I figured because the flange is already split I ran a Stanley blade around the softer rubber part of the flange and basically cut the carb free.

Then just unbolted the remaining part of the flange from both the manifold and the bottom of the carb and put the new one on and then had the fiddly task of putting the nuts back on.
