VW Golf MK1GTI Campaign - Lower right leg amputated below the knee

Hi folks,



I had my lower right leg amputated below the knee on the 20th February 2025. I am awaiting physio and know it will be a few months before I'm back up on my new leg.



Does anyone know if it's possible to drive a manual car with a prosthetic leg?



I'm desperately need help? I'm in Northampton and require my driver's side lower sill welding. I have a complete replacement sill from VW heritage. My lower front panel also needs welding and I have the replacement panel.



My car was Helios Blue - in 2005 I gave the car a bare metal restoration and replaced most the panels. I had the car resprayed in Fire and Ice Dark Violet Pearl. I've tried selling my car on eBay last year and didn't get any decent offers.



Do you it think it's worth having the car resprayed back to Helios Blue in order to sell the car? Or would I be wasting money?
