VDO Oil Pressure Gauge Help

Is this the right sender for the 5 bar gauge?
I have the 5 bar VDO oil pressure gauge but it's reading low, and my low pressure oil light is coming on at idle but goes off if I increase the revs slightly. It's a freshly rebuilt engine so it shouldn't be low pressure so I'm wondering if the sender is incorrect. It says 0-10 bar on the base and 1.24-0.3 bar. Do I need the 5 bar sender?
