Vacuum pipes!!

Post

Hi all.
I have a vacuum pipe loitering with intent and I am not sure where it goes. Blue line, question mark. Also,  the conecting pipe on the item circled yellow has broken off so the pipe won't connect. Is it possible to still buy one?  83 Mk1 Golf Cab. 1.8 called Albert  20250511_094437.jpg
Thanks in advance.

Think the pipe marked in blue controls the 'gear change' indicator (I may be wrong)
it plugs into the back of the dash clocks

The pipe marked in blue should ultimately connect to the vacuum advance can on your distributor, the other end should come off the back of the throttle body (you'll need a mirror to see it). The thing with the plug connected to it in the blue vac line is used for the gear shift indicator.
The thing in yellow is a one-way valve of sorts. I don't know if they are still available anywhere - you might need a second hand one, or get creative with a suitable sized hose barb and some epoxy. The pipe that comes off there should go up to the dash for the trip computer/mpg indicator. You don't have to have that connected, but you will want to plug the hole where the bit has snapped off. K-Jet doesn't like vacuum leaks.
