Rivage roof not working

The power works as I can hear it when pressing the switch but roof won't budge

Hi can any one advise what may be the problem with my roof as it won't go down, the electric motor makes a noise when I press the switch but no movement from the roof, it was working last year.

silly question, have knocked opened the manual valve on the pump, the t shaped valve, could just be passing.
also check oil level, and give hinges a squirt with wd40 when moving..give it some love…

Rivage roof not working

It could also need bleeding too. Search on here, I think Chortle had posted up the guide before from the Bentley manual

Hi Thanks  for the your help, where is the switch to turn on the pump?
Deos the T valve have to be fully turned to the left?

Think reference to switch on dash mate.  So keys in lock. Don't turn to power or ign. (Unless wiring altered safety features) under latch roof and press up or down.. the valve think goes to right..

Hi yes the switch was on as you can hear the electrics in the boot working but roof won't move?
I will check the oil this weekend

Hi just to thanks for the advise I purchased oil for the roof from Halfords £11 it didn't need much actually it overflowed I proceeded to lift and retract the roof by hand 3 times topped up the oil once more and hey presto it worked and has been working fine for the last few months.
