Weber 32 34 DMTL Overfueling issue

Post

So last year I bought 1989 1.8 Clipper. It still had the original Pierburg which was running so poor, the car would stall at every junction and run too rich.
  • Basically after a finding a cracked cylinder head and a cracked inlet manifold! I have the car running again. To cut a long story short, I ended up buying a brand new weber 32 34 DMTL kit off Ebay and the car runs but runs very rich. So far I have done the following:
- Measured and adjusted the floats (they were pretty much spot on because the carb is brand new i guess)
- Replaced the power valve (I read a leaky one of these can cause over fuelling)
- Replaced the rubber flange the carb sits on twice just for piece of mind and I had a spare

The engine has had a lot of new parts as its was in a pretty poor condition, including a whole brand new ignition system, cooling system, alternator, battery.

The car has no MOT at the minute and I'm trying to get it through by April.

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears…
