I need help please!!!

So i was driving this morning and took a turn and it started revving up to 3000rmp and it hasn't stopped yet my first thought was maybe I'd torn the base plate but the carb still seems mounted quite firmly and the revving doesn't change if I tilt my carb to any side the throttle cable isn't stuck or anything but I dont know much about cars , Im at work now and still need to get home so any help would be much appreciated

So I have deduced that it is not the base plate or any type of air leak as the vacuum is still quite strong any other suggestions? Could it possibly be the the idling scren turned from the vibration of the engine and set to rev so high ?
