Hi, I am looking at buying a mk1 golf. I know it is a 1989 clipper. However:
 It has the Golf Cabriolet badge on the back.
I has GTI on the front grill (left)Engine bay is below which I hope will help.
It has Karman badges on the side

Looks like a carb engine.
The GTI badge just wants removing :-)

Do you know if the BBS and Recaro seats are standard?

BBS No.
All the seats were actually made by recaro, just not badged. Someone had added them probably - just a guess
